This is really crazy, I bought a brand new XR400 this spring a rode it all summer in sand, track, serious enduro and thought that it was the final offroad solution. However I took I ride at my old Husky 400WR from 1986 and found it better in all environments. The first gear is made for really smoth slow almost trial conditions and second for normal difficult slow enduro challanges but when you came out on open country the Husky never stop wheeling not even on 4 gear..... My conclution is that the only development that have happen since 1986 is the electric starter (not even on the XR). The Husky 400 -86 was the final solution.
