Unfortunately the mufflers are stainless steel with a carbon fibre wrap. They aren´t true carbon mufflers. Unless you are going to do some serious surgery on the can the best way is to replace the mufflers with a good after market one. Great bike though I have an 05 Xtra Raptor 1000 (Rex).
