Hi Joe,
I also have had similar troubles, i have also had to replace the lamp twice dur to blown filaments, one the brake filament, the other time, was the tail tail light filament. unsure as to why this is happening.
I have had other probs, so if you wish to contact me, i would enjoy discussing them.
