i did higher compression rings, stage one jet kit and d&d full exhaust. gained a good deal of top end, there was plenty of low end to begin with. of course, its not a 1300 gsxr, but for the price and availabiity of parts, its a great bike for running around town. superb in traffic cus its so nimble and not toobad on gas either...dont forget, use only hi octane and do everything you can to stay away from sunoco or any other ethenol mixed fuel. valero usually has pure gas w no e10. your bike will thank you. hope this helps someone...
