Rotten luck, guy... said 2003-11-30 18:23 |
Hello, V. I purchased a pre-owned Cagiva Canyon 600 mod 97, 15000 kms, apparently mint condition, about a month ago. After one week, I experienced similar problems with the starter... and NO kick starter exists on that model... :-(( .. I was lucky I had a full 3 months guarantee from the retailer. They told me the starter and it´s freewheel ("combler"??) had just been changed before selling me the bike. The Cagiva French importer was unable to give us any timeline for the parts delivery. Not very professional indeed. Moreover, no Cagiva agent was willing to fix the problem anyway. So, the retailer isued me a proposal to cancel the sale. So we did and I opted - yeah!!!- for a Ducati 900 Monster EI Dark, 2002 model, with only 7000kms. Happy end, and, despite my italian bike addiction, I´ll probably never ever purchase any Cagiva again. Good luck to you, V. Best Regards Frederic Paris, France |
