Hello;

My name is Michael.
I live in sunny (rainy?) Florida.
My bike is a 1999 Suzuki bandit 1200s purchased new and currently has 52000 miles.
This has been a great bike, the maintenance I perform myself.

The automatic cam chain tensioner has never been off.

With this many miles should the tensioner be removed to checked?
And if so;
Can the tensioner be removed without removing the valve cover?

The reason I ask is the carb rack is off for cleaning.
The adjuster is easily accessible now.
