Mid life Crisis said 2007-10-10 10:41 |
Bought my 125-11 just over a week ago, wife says it is my mid life crisis. So far very pleased. It is very stylish and does not look like a 125. Still running it in so can’t really comment about performance, but it seems ok. Does need warming up well – but this may improve as the engine loosens up. I have found the sea-saw gear change difficult to get used too. One thing to be careful of. I have found that there is a false neutral between 1st and 2nd gear where the neutral light comes on but the bike is still in gear. Not a major problem unless you use the remote key-fob start. I did this not realising the bike was in gear and it jumped off the stand breaking the touring screen. Suppliers replaced the screen FOC and no other damage was done, but it could have been worse if a child had been standing next to the bike. With the stand down it should not be possible to start the bike while in gear. But my bike thought it was in neutral. Answer to this problem - don´t trust the neural light. Check the bike is really in neutral. |
