Hello Biker, This was no Lodola 175 GT in 1956. In 1956 till 1959 a Lodola 175 is build with OHC in Version Normal (9 PS) Later in 1958 to 1959 nemed as Lodola 175 Sport (11PS) till 1966 Lodola 235 ccm build as GT with Metal Iron cylinder and OHV Head with 11 PS. Very easy to identified with Air Filter and very good oil filter system. My 1958 175 Lodola Sport produce 4800 Times in this year. All Lodolas together build in the 10 Years from 1956 till 1966 approx. 28.000 Pcs. I love this little bike with a big head and drive it Summer and winter since 2014 more than 30.000 Km with only one electrical problem in that time. This was the last Bike Carlo Guzzi designed himself and he change the engine to a 45 % angle design. Something ist too complicated in the head but his ideas still alive. For the first Model in 1921 the crankshaft is running backwards to put the oil up to the upper parts of the cylinder, so the lifetime is outstanding compare to other models at this time- same happens in the Lodola models !! Best regards Frank |
