Get the book from lewistown if you can. It has all the maitance schedules. I just hose my bike off after a ride. I first spray it with Simple Green which cuts grease. I hit the rear end real good and chain area. I keep the electrical area below the tank free of a direct spray of water. After it dries for half an hour I spray chain lube and ride it on the street for a few hundred yards. You might clean the air filter and oil after every ride, change the oil every 4-6 hours of riding and a new spark plug really makes starting easier and performance measurably better. Get yourself a brake bleeder at NAPA for your clutch fluid and your drag will go away. The bike is bulletproof, I ride mine hard 2 hours per week and it just gives and gives.
