Drill-out HD mufflers

I just bought an 04 FB and the guy replaced the stock mufflers with HD pipes that are slightly louder but far from how a Harley should sound. He did put on a Screamin Eagle airflow kit and I believe had the computer remapped for the pipes, but I need to replace the mufflers or do something. Does anybody know if I can drill-out the current muffles, and if so how? Thanks
