| Black denim, screamin eagle stage one, 211 cam, rhinehart long black shotguns, mimi apes, metezlers 888s, 50k on miles. Tried to sell it when it had 20k on it, a few years back. Listed it for 12k, not a nibble. As it was explained to me, at that time, harley wasn´t over producing, but had catch up with demand. You get all these guys that want a harley, and after 2 or 3 years of payments, and they don´t ride but a few hundred miles a year, decide it´s not worth the money spent, and put it up for sale. You can´t argue with the fact you can find 10 of the same model, with less then 4000 miles on it, what would you buy, one with 20k, or 5k or less? It ain´t the good ol days, you don´t need 10 large for a used harley. I´m glade I still got her, still a strong bike, and has served me well, with no major issues. I get to enjoy year round riding, and have gone the distance with her, a number of thou in ones, and once for kicks and giggles did 1350 in 21 hours. Drive belt is reaching its end, considering a belt primary, gotta tear it all out to get at the drive, so why not. In case your wondering, no she ain´t up for sale, and she can still bury it with both me and the ol lady saddled up. |
