I bought the initial model in 1973(?), and owned it for twenty years. The factory seat was its worst feature, followed by the handlebar electrical switches. I went through at least two customed seats -- settling finally on a Kawasaki K1300 seat to which matching hinge brackets & lock-down lever were attached. I recall that I mounted a lamp under that seatbase. On R/H side in picture: http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~vortexau/images/3mcycles.jpg I also fitted the factury twin-disc kit, and reversed the forks to mount the disc calipers BEHIND the fork legs. |
