Well, I finally see a place to type about my 75 Moto Guzzi and it seems not very busy, Darn. I hav my origional 1975 850-T purchased new and just ended up this year with 103.000.0 miles on my Guzzi. I love the Guzzi especially with my Vetter wind screen in front of me when I ride long distance. I could write a long book of stories about my adventures on my Guzzi even when I had many misadventures in the process.I have had my number of troubles but even with this I persisted and the Guzzi would always bring me thru the most distant trecks. My 75 Guzzi was purchased thru England Cycle center in Indianapolis, Indiana June 13 1975 and I had a Plaque made to illustrate the fact. And it is really neat to look at and read in Moto Guzzi RED. My Engine Serial Number is -97306 and I would just die to know who had a running sister or brother to my Moto Guzzi. I did choose to select the Brown one on the show room floor RATHER THAN THE BLACK ONE. And doing so I later learned that the brown one had the internal oil filter and the black one did not. I was glad. I have traveled to the dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay in Alaska and enjoyed the adventure beyond all imagination. The Guzzi also took me to Labrador and Newfoundland across Quebec and returned to Indiana with out an issue, what a Grand Journey to partake. Note: prior to the Alaska journey I pulled the valves and confirmed the perfect valve & seat condition to offer the best running performance. And the Guzzi ran the entire 10,000 miles FLAWLESSLY, even with running over a 12 inch stone that ran thru the oil pan to make a quarter size hole that I had repaired. FLAWLESSLY........ If you have an Engine serial number to tell me about I would like to know how close it is to mine. Keep in touch Tim Orr |
