I have a 2002 Stone, bought it new 2 years ago this month and bought another one for my wife about 6 months later. I have owned American, Japanese, and German bikes and wanted something different. This is the first bike that I would say I "love". It was my first Guzzi and until you ride one you may not know what I mean, but these bikes have a soul to them. My wife´s is stock with only a windscreen and hard bags added. I customized my fenders, lights, seat, foot controls, shocks, pipes, kind of stripped it down for an old bob-job look. It is one of the best handling bikes I have ever ridden. The Tonti frame is very flickable in the canyons. I lowered mine so I have lost some cornering capability in the twisties. I added a power commander which really helped with throttle response. Both bikes have been reliable, no real problems to speak of. The factory seat on mine was uncomfortable. My wife´s seat is very comfortable. Guzzi must have changed seats mid-year. If it is the one piece seat on the one you are looking at it is the same as my wife´s. My bike had a two piece seat on it and I hated it. Traded it for a solo saddle. The thing I like best about the Guzzi is that you stand out from the crowd. Not to many around. I have parked at charity rides with hundreds of bikes and never once saw another Guzzi. How many HD riders can say that? I love the sound of that big Italian twin, nothing sounds like it. People asked us all the time, "What kind of bike is that?" That in and of itself is cool. Let me know if you have any other or specific questions. I can talk all day about my Guzzi! Caio!
