First, the bike is under warranty. That should take some pressure off. The ticking... If valve, then it ticks at half the engine speed. The good news is that "loose lives". Too much clearance will reduce performance somewhat, but won´t hurt. Not that it matters because I´d be pulling the cover if the bike were mine. (I just did the 600 mile check and it´s not that hard.) The bad news is that what you´re hearing might be caused from a lack of lubrication. Perhaps a clogged oil gallery or somesuch. You´ll still be pulling the top end to find out, but better now than later. |
