I have an 03 XB9R. I bought it from a dealer about an year ago with 4500 miles. I´m now up to 8000 miles. I had a few issues with the clutch and the wheel bearings, but the dealer fixes all of it for free (Brians´s HD/Buell in Langhorne, PA). I´ve been tremendously happy with my dealer experiences and the overall quality/reliability of the bike. I personally haven´t had an issue with the belt, but it was common, so dealers SHOULD be replacing it with an upgraded Kevlar belt free. I know that some people have had mechanical issues but they seem to be pretty rare overall - I think it´s the dealer experience that makes the real difference. I absolutely LOVE Buells. I love the feeling of having so much torque on a light bike. I love that it´s different and concepts are outside-the-box. I wouldn´t trade it. If you are looking for an aftermarket pipe for the beast, check out the factory Race Kit, Jardin, or Drummer. |
