When shifting down coming to a stop, mine doesn´t like to go into 1st before dropping below 10 mph....it´s a safety feature, so you don´t skid if you´re going too fast and shift to 1st and let the clutch out. Make it a practice to drop to second, then come to a complete stop with brakes, and then shift to first when stopped...err, when stopping California style, shift to 1st when you´re almost stopped and then take off again. :o)
