You´re doing it right! I live in a fairly mountanous area of Virginia and I´ve taken the little Thumper up solid inclines on freeways at 75. Top speed after break in is 95 but it´ll run at 75 all day. I seriously love mine, although I´ve only had it 2 weeks (I ride it to and for work when the weather is above 39 F.)
