You are right on! The Buell Blast is a maintenance nightmare. I have less than 6k miles on my buell blast (all maintenance done by Harley davidson)...and it sits in my driveway and rusts...it eats batteries and has so many problems stalling at low idle (stop signs) that I can´t ride it. I bought it because it was American...big mistake. This Buell is poorly designed with many electrical problems (intermittent electrical short), doesn´t charge battery at low RPMs (which is the only type of riding it is good for), oil gaskets that blow, and cheap parts/welding that rusts.
I pity anyone that makes the mistake of buying a Blast.
