I´m not sure that the seat that was on my 01 Chief was the original or not. I know that it had about a 30 mile range. I purchased a Corbin seat for it (@$500). I can´t say much of it, either, but I can at least ride it for 150 miles without major problems. I don´t know what the answer is. If you do, please let me know.
