Well, that´s good to know since I own one and toiled for quite some time about what bike to buy after I sold my 2001 Hayabusa.
Earlier this week, I had a nasty tankslapper going around a choppy corner on my ´00 R1, exiting at about 120-130km my front end skipped and jumped causing the above incident. The bike and I survived a violent situation, and I am now wondering if I should get a steering damper? Which brand and style is best for this bike, or should I just slow down. I expect with the damper, I will push it harder and not survive the next one. Any input would be appreciated. Already contemplating a Goldwing or something more sedate as an alternative.
