I have a 2009 883 and I once took my bike to a carwash for cleaning. I had done this 2 or 3 times with no problems. The last time I must have sprayed too close to the electrical lines behind the front fork. It´s better now, but I was having problems with the blinkers coming on or not working, or staying on when I wanted them off. You may have some water intrusion in your elec. system somewhere. ch
