Last rode a 883 in October, 1985 in El Paso from Barnett Harley...enjoyed the whole bike and planned to get one since. In May of this year I rented a Heritage Softail Classic in Kapa´a on Kaua´i, Hawai´i for 24 hours. Put on 480+ miles in those hours and loved the ride but missed my own helmet and faceshield: couldn´t go much past 75mph without being blinded with tears. 45-55 was perfect. I put that bike down slowly to see if I could pick it up. I barely did it. I´m 150 lbs. and strong but not strong enough for the Heritage. The 883 was never a problem to move around, push or lift. So I know I´ll be satisfied on the Hugger. The Honda ACE was terrific, and the V-Star great, but the 883 keeps calling me back. What´s it like riding one every day?
