Hello. Just purchased a 1947 Indian Chief. Been working on Harley´s most of my life. I have rebuilt the brakes on the Indian Chief. I have checked the brake drums for thickness and True. Purchased brakes from KIWI and the tension looks right on the springs. My problem is the front brakes don´t work very well. I am at a loss as to what to do to remedy the problem. In comparison the front brakes on my 1947 Harley will stop you. The Indian Chief brakes will only slow you down. The back brakes work well. My Dad has a 948 years ago and I do NOT remember it having bad front brakes. Any suggestions or words of wisdom will be appreciated.

Thanks
