I had a 2011 Multi S and I also found the rear brake a waste of time. I changed the 1 piston caliper to a 2 piston caliper and it is better, but not great. problem is in bleeding and the heat generated by the engine where the reservoir is mounted. you still need to bleed, but take the reservoir off and lower it below the caliper and then you should be able to get the air out.
