I have been riding my brothers 97 springer heritage for 2 years. (lucky man has 4 bikes) the primary chain adjuster got loose. I opened the small inspection plate and i can reach the adjuster. I found the adjuster loose. I tried to tighten it but the plate that it is on was also loose. I can only get to one of the screws holding the plate on. I tightened it then I tightened the chain adjuster. It lasted about 1 week. Do I have to remove the primary cover to get it rite. Also do I have to remove the foot board to remove primary.
