I just bought a 06 flstci and the schedule in the back of owners manuel It says 500 miles for the first maintenance then 2,500 then every 2,500 after that. Is this for checking the springer? and if so can I perform this maintenance myself.I noticed that tube type soft tails were only looked at 5,000 mile intervals also the oil changes should be the same shouldnt they my dealer said first 1000 bring it back for a change from the brake in oils. Which one is correct? I don´t wanna "boof" the warranty
