Hi guys have just become the proud owner of a ec 300. she was left in a shed for some years as her previous owner works over seas.she had varnished fuel in the tank and carb but when cleaned out she fired strait up. although she wouldnt idle, i thought that maybe a quick run may sort that out. but alass she siesed when she got warm. on pulling the engine head of ive found that she has done a big end .and not a piston or rings. can anyone advise me on wether or not this is a problem with this bike or have i just been unlucky? and the correct fuel oil mixture? thanks, Dean.
