Hi I would very much like to ask a question about my dragstar 650, 1999 year. I dont know anyone else with a dragstar 650 so I canĀ“t chat with them and Im not a member of any clubs as of yet. The question I have is, what speed should I expect to get from my machine as a norm when accelerating from a stand still. What seems normal for my bike is up to 10mph in first, 20 in second, 30 in third, 40 in forth and finally above that in fifth. Is this right? Any fast speeds in any of the gears gives the feeling that the engine is over revving or vibrating more than it should. (Again any advise would be great as I have nothing to compare it against) Also what would you consider to be a reasonable crusing speed on the open road for a 650. Mine feels comfortable at about 55mph, over that and the vibration starts creeping in. many thanks in anticipation Cheers Nigel |
