After procrastinating (haven´t had a bike for 20 odd years) for ages I´m gonna buy a Ducati, I´ve decided to get something mid range i.e. 600 Monster. There are 2 for sale close by, 1 is a 1997 7,500k (appear real) and the other 2000 with just over 30k. Can anyone fast share their wisdom and experience the things I that would be important for me to consider. I.e. are there any componants or aspects of these older bikes that mean I ought to just bite the bullet find some more money and get a later model ie from this century.
