No spark when starting 1995 M900

Bike running great stalled out, no start. As though kickstand down or kill switch on. Took plugs out and grounded. Got one spark as soon as ignition switch turned on but no spark afterwards when cranking. . Checked everything kill switch, all fuses, ground wiring, all OK. Changed stator pickups and wiring and all ground wiring double checked. Checked rectifier wiring connections too. No spark after the initial one when ignition first turned on.
Help!!
