Running cold

Hi there. Has anyone had a problem with there R6´s running cold. I´ve got "LO" displayed all the time. The manual says its alright to ride with it like this but with my own mechanical knowledge I know that an engine running cold constantly will eventually get damaged. I think it must be the thermostat thats stuck open. Does anyone know how easy it is to change one of these or could it be something else that is a common fault?
