I have a 1997 monster m750 which I recently seized the motor i´m not on at 12,000 miles. I´ve taken good care of the bike, but I think I had bad servicing at the previous shop for my 12000mile check. I took it to a dealer who told me I have 3 options: rebuild it, put a new engine in our part it out. I told them I wasn´t going to pay the 6 grand they want to rebuild. Im interested in putting a new engine in, but i´m not sure which I need. I understand ideally I need a 97 but what else will work? I found a 99 for a good price but i´m not sure what will work. Any ideas? Id love some knowledgeable advice.
