I recently bought a 2001 RSV with race chip and race can. My previous bike was a Kawasaki zx9r which I purchased from new in 2001. Appart from a couple other small bikes this is really my biking experience if you discount the normal test rides of any bike available. The 2001 ZX9R is a very easy fun and stable bike without any major problems. Acceleration and braking are excellent and if it has a fault it has to be the suspension, which isn´t bad it´s not as good as some other bike. The RSV on the other hand is a completely different bike. Bad points: Only one. It´s a **** riding the bike around London; the clutch is bloody stiff and the brakes and throttle are just too responsive. Whats it like on the open road, a whole lot of fun. It handles extremely well, it´s very lite and just loves cornering. The power is explosive to the point where you can come unstuck if you´re not careful, thats not to say it´s unmanageable. I´ve riden 3000 miles on the RSV without a problem. I´ve found riding a twin is a lot more involving than a four, there´s simply more work to do if you want to get the most out of the engine (tahts acceleration and braking) but it´s also more fun and of course you get that beautiful roar from a V-twin. Would I swap the bike for another four, NO
