Hi, I bought my 94 suzki 650 ls about 2 months ago. I don´t have a lot of experience with bikes, I drove my bike to work about 50 miles away and left it outside for the whole night as I work the night shift, the following day on my way going home I got on the freeway and to my surprise the bike won´t go over 50mph and 40mph going up hill, I had no Idea what happened the bike starts fine it idles ok. then I called Suzuki dealer and explained to him the problem, he asked me if I filled up the tank to the rim which I did, he said that is the problem, the overflow from the tank flooded the evaborator emission unit preventing the carburator from breathing at freeway speed, now he recommended purging the evaborator unit. any Idea how to do this. Thanks in advance. herb |
