I ride a new bought R80 GS Basic since 1998 until now 49000 KM. At 45000 KM I needed a new sealing of the rear paralever gearbox (wheel drive) an at 47000 KM a new generator. The generator suffers from high temperatures (above 25 Centigrade air temperature an above 5000 rpm it will break down earlier). The white power rear suspension increases the possible curve speed remarkable compared with other two valve boxer bikes. The last few kilometers the ignition had temporarily failure above 25 Centigrade air temperature.
