Beemer fans, I love my old R60/5 but it has a few features I wish I could change. First...I live in northern Canada and starting this old girl in cold weather with no choke can be a ****. Can the carbs be converted to choke style carbs without any modifications to the rest of the bike???? Second...100 octane gas is a little hard to come by in this corner of the universe and the standard 91 octane offerings from most stations around here make her gag like a 5 year old on cod liver oil. Has anyone found an effective way of making these these old bikes run on readily available gas without the use of octane boosters??? ( I´ve been using them for years ) Ed |
