Hi Dave,

What you have is a Japanese home market version of the NX250 know as an AX-1, I believe the model years ran from ´89 to ´94. The three main differences are as you say Wheels, Rear Brake and a Twin Headlamp frontend.

With some detail differences the rest of the bike is very much the same as the NX250. Check out Wimpie´s NX250 Site in Holland (http://nx250.dyndns.org/english/)where he has a made most of the Manual available and a very useful Illustrated Parts List.

I just heard today that my AX-1 with only 7495KMS on the clock has just arrived in Southampton so hopefully I will riding it before the end of the month.

Hope this helps.

Maybe you could send Wimpie some pictures for his website.

Regards Iain.
