ohh ohh - looks like this may be a common problem. I have a r1200c and have rust jumping out of everywhere - and this is in zimbabwe which is miles from the sea and a normally rust free enviornment. Methinks prevention is better than cure so make sure the next metal polish you buy has a serious rust inhibitor.
