I had to have a lower saddle fitted so I can´t testify to the comfort of the OEM saddle.
Maybe its an age thing - I have never been able to go much over 2 hours on any bike (Pan European, ZZR1100, Varadero, which was the best) on main/straight/freeway roads. Maybe that´s why so many bikers stop for ´smoke breaks´. Best to keep off roads that bore the %&#!¤of you!
