I am a reasonably technically oriented person ( I service industrial cleaning equipment) and I would like to know what special tools I need and where I can get them as well as a good desciptive procedure for tuning the throttle bodies on my 2000 R1100S. The local dealer can´t seem to get it right. I have asked them to get rid of the pre-ignition I get when I lay on the throttle even at higher rpms and they "tune" the throttle bodies and say all´s well but it´s not. I want to give it a try myself. Or does anyone else have any comments on the pre-ignition that can be pretty irritating. E-mails are welcome. Mahalo.
