Hello; I have been using my 77 R100/7 for trips from vancouver to Calgary twice a year for 4 years now. Just keep an eye on the oil level, any problems will announce their presence in enough time for you to do something about it, before anything serious develops. I wouldn´t hesitate to head out across Canada, just bring your plastic, and charge.
