| Just completed (sort of) a trip out west on my PD Calssic. Broke down in Hardin, MT. Electrical system failure. Rotor opened and was replaced but still no charge light when ignition switch turned on. Parts hard to come by in MT, so I flew home to Tulsa, drove back to MT with trailer and hauled the bike back home. Planning on installing Omega kit from Motorad Electrik to hopefully eliminate this problem. Was averaging over 600 mi/day. Running with GPS and XM-sattelite radio and that may have caused the electrical problem. Large tank great out west where fuel stops can be a long way off. Curious if others have experience with the Omega kit. I installed one on an ยด89 GS Bumblebee and I really liked it. |
