I´ve owned my ´88 K75 for 25 years and ridden it for many miles. I have sometimes thought about selling it for a more pretty bike but can´t bring myself to do it. The damn thing is so dependable and easy to service and repair. On the road, it handles very predictably. It tends to handle less well at slow speeds in parking lots, but is nimble on the road.
I love the silky smooth acceleration. I put a Staintune muffler on the bike, instead of the ugly BMW unit and installed a gas gauge from another K bike model from the era. The wiring harness was already on the bike. These bikes sell for peanuts today, but are great bikes. Great build quality, too.
