This bike was manufactured by Polaris/Victory in 2000 and 2001. Even though this model didn´t catch on it´s the real deal in terms of performance, power and style. It is a joy to ride down the freeway or taking through the twisties. It´s a heavy bike but it has such a low center of gravity and is so well balanced that it handles more like a sport bike than a "classic" cruiser-type bike. It´s not going to out perform a sport bike by any means when taking tight turns but it´s very easy to throw this thing into a 30mph corner at 50 or 55mph. The components on the SC are top notch. It has dual Brembos in the front that provide excellent stopping power. The forks and frame are much bigger than you would expect out of a cruiser except maybe a Fat Boy. This provides for minimal twist and a very solid feeling ride. The 92ci powerplant punches out alot of torque and doesn´t leave you wanting more like other bikes in this category. There are but a couple of things that could be better on the V92SC. The tranny is clunky... it works well but it´s loud. The stock exhaust is less than perfect I would suggest getting after market pipes and re-chipping it. D&D makes excellent pipes and a great chip that increases the horsepower. All in all if you´re ready to ride a big cruiser but don´t want to sacrifice performance then this bike may well be for you. |
