I had a $1700 problem with my trans. 3rd gear has a known problem of going out at acceleration. Polaris did offer some compensation in the form os a partial re-imbursment of the $2500 to fix the problem with a new trans kit. I, in the past have not had good luck with warranty re-imbursment so i chose to replace the affected parts only. Have not had any problems with the repairs. The transmissions on these bikes seem to be quirky anyway. There noisy, clunky and not very smooth at all.
