Hi having just returned from a 4.500 mile euro tour with...... elite-wings all riding our Honda GL1800 Goldiwnings. When we came home We were very dissapointed to find the new 05 model announced 12.09.04 has No changes, Therefore some members asked me to check into what BMW may or may not be doing? Having owned a BMWK1200LT in 2000 which I thought was no where in the running to the smooth 6 cylinder boxster wing engine 1832cc thats why it went. That was then and me but has it now changed at BMW. My critizisems where hard to get to reverse (electric on wing) lack of power (slow on acceleleration) very bad at slow speed riding and monourvering! instrument controls and dash bad...We use garmin GPS STP111 and have CB, CD,RADIO,Heated grips, etc all as a must. anyway please let me know if you have ridden both the Wing and the new 05 BMW thoughts please. |
