My 1995 K1100RS is stalling (sometimes almost stalling and then continuing).

It varies how often it happens. However, it never happens when it is cold (less than 15km of driving) and it has never happened when it was idling.

It has happened many times after exactly 16 kms of driving!

After stalling it is normally easy to start again and then you can sometimes drive 1-2 kms or sometimes more than 50 kms before it happens again.

Any suggestions as to what the most likely cause would be?
