I have an 05 that I actually picked up in late 04. I now have 25,000 miles on it. My fuel gage did the same thing around 5,000 miles. Who cares, this is bike number 9 in 30 years of riding and none of the others had a fuel gage. I just watch the miles and know how far I can go on a tank. Yea, seems pretty common, I ain´t never heard of one lasting with the folks I have talked to. Doesn´t affect the running so I don´t really care. Lets face it, if I wanted reliable and everything to work I´d a bought a Honda.
