While cruising on my 2012 FLSTC HS Classic, my dash panel indicator lights, turn signal, 6th gear, illumination light for speedometer/odometer and fuel tank will go out. The speedometer/odometer and front/rear lights and turn signals continue to work. The battery light will come on and stay on for up to a minute. The engine light has come on a few times. Once, the engine light and battery light came on at the same time, the bike sputtered as if to stall. The lights went off again and the bike continued normal operation. Several miles down the road, engine and battery light came back on and the bike shut off. I´ve had the bike in the local Harley shop numerous times, but they can not seem to figure it out. Once, the shop foreman told me it was a loose, corroded battery terminal. We went at it for several minutes. I live in central CA. No rain for 5 years, bike is garaged, never been exposed to water. Why did it take 4 trips, sometimes up to 2 week stays for him to discover a loose, corroded battery terminal. I think he´s dragging it out until my warranty expires. I´ve made inquiries to other HD shops, independent Harley mechanics, Harley owners and a good friend who knows more about internal combustion engines and their associated electrical systems and they have come to the same conclusion. Either the connection to/from the module that runs the system or a bad module all together. Has anyone ever had a similar experience? If so, were you ever able to identify the problem/ Sorry if it seems long winded. Thanks Bigkel
